Nusuance calls to my cell phone which then costs me minutes on my cell phone plan. Can they be stopped?

this caller claimed that i won a wallmart voucher card and i gave him my address to send the voucher and they continuing ask for any credit card to confirm

calls started about 2:11 pm today. received about 7 calls.

called and left message in reference to a loan

Keeps calling 2 to 3 times a day, on the caller ID it shows the name "Local Call" but where we live there are three area codes and neither one matches this one.

Calls frequently and says nothing.

Every day is calling and never answering. I don't know who is this.

called my cell and my work - funny though because I received the calls about 2 minutes apart with the exact same speech with one important difference: the name of the legal office - at work he said his name was Alex and he was calling from The Legal Office... on my cell he said his name of James and he was calling from Alex's Legal Office... idiots... I owe money, I have a law suit against me, they will arrest me, I need to call. Another funny thing is I have been receiving these calls for 3 months now and I still haven't been arrested, haven't received any documentation on the debt I apparently owe, and I definitely do not have any law suits against me. I just wish they would stop calling my work - it's disrupting and upsetting. I reported this number to the ftc, the internet crime unit and my local police department - you should do the same.

I have yet to answer this call, but they have been calling me twice every morning around 8:30am.

A few months ago these jerks started calling me every single day, last night at 10pm, looking for some bimbo who must have had my telephone number before I bought this cell phone last summer. They refuse to listen to me when I tell them I have no idea who they are looking for and I just was issued this telephone number. They are very belligerent over the phone, they sound like gangsters. These jerks should be sent to jail for harrassing total strangers daily for months on end. They call any number associated with someone years ago and harrass the new owner of the phone number daily for months.

these people keep calling me saying i need to call back or they would just have to wish me good luck. saying i have a case against my name and they have ALL my information and they would get me fired and threatened me

When I answered the phone, the caller said, "This is Select Services and we are your tech support company. We are sending out your $50 rebate for your utilities. Please hold while I verify your information." I asked questions and for a web site for verification, then said I was not interested. I then looked on the internet referencing the phone number only to fins multiple listings and complaints.
